Panther Meadows — Nonreserved site. Meadow suitable only for small group of 6 or less due to fragile environment. Restroom but no drinking water in nearby pack-in campground.
Castle Lake — Castle Lake Rd. off W. A. Barr Rd. west of town. Alpine lake held in granite bowl surrounded by pine forest. Free campground 1/2 mile away; restroom, no drinking water.
