Panther Meadows gives great views of Mount Shasta. Spring water flows through alpine meadows full of wildflowers. Note: Only accessible after snow melts, typically June 1.

Heart Lake
Located just above Castle Lake. Heart Lake hike is a short 3 mile hike out and back again. It may be short, but this hike is absolutely breathtaking in terms of scenery and vistas.
Spring Hill
Spring Hill Trail is one of the trails most conveniently located to Mount Shasta City. Vistas on the summit plateau offer great views of the mountain.
Horse Camp
A trail to the Shasta Alpine Lodge at the mouth of Avalanche Gulch. From here numerous fantastic hiking options can be had, including Hidden Valley, Helen Lake and Green Butte.

Black Butte Trail
A 5.2 mile trail winds its way around the north side of the pinnacle of Black Butte, revealing surprises and amazing views en route to a fantastic 360 degree vista at the summit.
McCloud River Falls Trail
An easy trail following the beautiful McCloud River, passing three waterfalls and ending at a lush meadow. Total Distance is 4 miles or further if desired.
